Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Soft Horizon Studio collects when you visit this website or buy a product, and why. It applies under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where relevant, the EU GDPR.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit, technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested is processed to deliver and secure the site.

Buying a product

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe processes your name, email address, payment details and billing country to take payment, calculate tax and prevent fraud. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, and use them to deliver your files and answer support requests. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Download emails

We send your download link by email through Resend (USA). Your email address and order details are used only for this.

Photos for personalized storybooks

When you create a storybook, you upload family photos and enter first names. We store the photos privately with Vercel (Blob storage, USA) and use them only to make your book. To paint the pages and write the story, the photos and names are sent to our AI provider kie.ai, which runs Google image and text models; generated files are kept there for at most 14 days. We delete your photos, pages and books 30 days after delivery, and uploads that never became an order after 3 days. Please only upload photos you are allowed to use, and you can ask us to delete everything sooner at any time.

File delivery

Product files are stored with Cloudflare (R2). Downloading a file transmits your IP address to Cloudflare.

Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel and Conversions API)

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To measure which ads lead to purchases, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API. Visitors from Switzerland, the EU/EEA and the UK are only measured after they accept cookies in the banner. When measurement is allowed, Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) receives the pages you view, that you started checkout or bought, the order value, and technical identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address, browser). For purchases we also send your email address and country in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match the purchase to an ad. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies.

Cookies

• sh_consent: remembers your cookie choice (1 year).
• sh_cr: remembers whether the cookie banner is needed in your region (1 day).
• _fbp, _fbc: Meta advertising cookies, only set after consent where required.

Transfers abroad

Some providers are located in the USA. Transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Frameworks.

How long we keep data

Order data is kept as long as required by Swiss accounting law (usually 10 years). Support emails are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, and object to its use, by writing to support@softhorizonstudioco.com. You may also contact the Swiss FDPIC or your local data protection authority.
